Launch
Have any of you guys used a "2 step" to launch off of. It's an electronic device, sort of like a programable rev limiter. You absolutely floor the throttle, the 2 step lets say "bounces" the engine at 5k, (very rapidly) this keeps boost way up. Then when you let the clutch out, the 2 step is disengaged and BLAM your gone, Check out Matt Harlan's stuff (he's got a twin turbo firehawk)Matt is a young engineer for GM, he is a FRIGIN' GENIUS.
you should ask him at www.ls1tech.com . He is Y2KHAWK. He's a moderator on the FORCED INDUCTION forum. His car runs 10.000 at 140 or so. He also makes cool shift lights and "window swithches" A device that controls , say NOs between a "window"(programable) of 3000 to 6500. (or what ever). This way you can leave the line, have the spray come on in 2nd gear at "x"rpm, stop at just where you shift, (so its's not on during any over rev or missed shift), then it's back on when you bang the next gear.
Have fun guys.
ps I don't have a REX yet, I'm going to get my wife an '04 in Sept.
Regards
George
