Analyze this 1/4 please

Track air temp 75 degrees
First time ever launching a AWD car, first time on the track with my 05 WRX.

I know my reaction time sucks...but yeah I can fix that!

Slip:
R/T : .299
60' : 1.988
330 : 5.952
1/8 : 9.205 @ 75.96mph
1000' : 11.971
1/4 : 14.329 @ 95.49mph

Launched at 3900-4000rpms, no clutch dump launch. I let off to soon in 3rd gear about 6600rpms...so I think I could have hit a higher trap speed and faster 1/4.

Mods: Stone Mountain racing header and uppipe, Perrin down pipe and full TBE, no cats, COBB AP stage 2, STi radiator cap and Gruppe-S radiator shroud. Stock suspension.

Thoughts?

Thanks
Trent

Hmm, your 60 ft is very good for beginner. reaction time doesnt effect your time. the clock starts when you pass the line. for your mods you should have a higher trap speed. since you are in utah im guessing the elevation is higher and that 75 degree temp aint helping either. i dont know the correction for higher altitudes but im guessing you are about right.

Sell the accessport, then get a Vishnu Xede, you'll be surprised to see how much more power you can extract from your ride! Look em up and compare the results....some of the WRXs they tuned actually put more HP @ the wheels compared to a stock STI, using the factory turbo! Take a wild guess which engine management I'm running....nuff said!

I will have to take a look at their stuff.
Oh and SLC is 4400 ft. above sea level...I think the difference is almost 1 sec slower than sea level...I think....

Oh and did I mention this was on stock tires. Anything I can do to improve my 60'? I know getting better tires will help, but what else?

lol i live in colorado, and i gota go to bandimere. which is even worst haha i think its like 7150ft above sea level. somthing like that ahha, i ran a 15.1x for my best run, but yea like JT-STI2 said get vishnu, esp if u can get a custom tune from shiv, read some of the tales of the dyno from the vishnu forum on this board, at stage 0 some of the WRX actually dyno 10 more WHP then a stock evo. and the stage zero is just a reflash, pulleys, and a up-pipe. well worth the money, i'm at stage sub zero right now. i love it

Hehe... any proof that you may have?

But yea, I was expecting a little faster than that, having all those power adders to your WRX should get you in the mid/high 13's (an educated guess).

your time is VERY accurate... youre nailing 13.3-13.5's @ sea level on a Cobb Stage 2... now your map isnt programmed to accomodate for the header you have replaced, but 1/4 mile wise, I doubt if it will effect anymore than a tenth...

as far as your launch goes... The STage 2 exhibits a rather flat torque curve affter the 3000 mark... so honestly, you can start feathering at 3600 during launches... (good choice on not dumping)

Overall, you did what your WRX should do, and sounds like its running very well... Take it somewhere sea level and enjoy that extra second of speed!!

i ran at pueblo yesterday.. an the track is at 4800ft elevation.. ran a 14.121 @95.3 with a crappy 60ft of 2.05. if it were not so packed i would have run more than 2x and am positive i could have gotten into the 13's. 04wrx with AP stageII. oh and bandemere is closer to 5800ft elevation than 7100.... you still have room for improvement... just keep practicing.. still a good run though!

Actually I have ran a few time since my original post. My best time so far was 14.1 @ 97mph. I dont have the slip close, but I think the 60 ft was 2.somthing. I'm sure the car would do 13.9 with the stock POS tires that are on it. BUt yeah its winter time...so I'll see how it does next year.

i would dare to suggest that higher altitudes = thinner air = not so good on motor. so i would say improve ur intake end of things...just me. other than that, i dont know, i would kill for that 60ft time though...
