Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew whether the wrx lsd differential cartridge will fit on to the 2.5 RS ring gear for an LSD swap on a 1999 RS?

Yes, you can swap differentials from a WRX into a MY99 RS differential housing. What you need to do is put the ring from your original diff and just attach it to the WRX diff. Reassemble the diff and you are good to go. I know it is easier said then done, but I have a WRX LSD in my MY00 OBS that originally had an open diff in the rear.

thanks man, i just wasnt sure if the ring gears had the same holes to attach to the diff cartridge, but seeing as they do.... now all i need to find is a wrx diff.
