i am in the process of installing a ej20tt engine and tranny wow it is sure a pain in the *** but sooooooo worth it. any way the day of reconing is coming when i put the motor in the car and do the custom piping my question are these
1. i want to run 280 hp can that be done on a single turbo setup ?
2.how does one go about making it single turbo besides taking one away
3.pros and cons?
also i have a 93 wrx/imprezaturbo engine with the turbo and i have the two turbos from the twin scroll.

what should i do?

I've got the same engine im putting in my 00 RS and im converting it to single turbo. all you need is a wrx exhaust manifold, up-pipe and then a wrx exhaust.
there's more to it but i havent got that far yet. im still trying to figure out where to run oil feed and drain lines from.....wouldnt it be nice to have a chilton's for something like this??? lol... let me know if you make any progress.

 

if you have a full single turbo ej20 to compare with it, its easy. put them side to side and swap all the parts from the single setup over to the twin. all turbo related fittings on the right head, plug all hte left with the single turbo head plugs and block off the 1 you cant with a plug.

then you are done. put the single turbo exhaust manifold and intake manifold and turbo setup on with wiringharness and such.

easy frekin pie. im suprised you havnt figured it out with them both at your place
