transmission compatability question

Car Info: on going project 95 four door gc8
transmission compatability question
hoping to find someone who knows for sure,if a '95 jdm wrx trans. will mount to a usdm wrx and if it will work with the usdm rear diff... i know theres only four bolts on the jdm one bt do they match up??? thanx in advance....

four bolts or eight bolts they bolt together and are interchangable
you will have to find out what tranny you have because there are different jdm ratios between WRX, sti, and sti ra
but the rear you have will not work because of the ratioswill be different than what you have now

does anyone know the ratios on a 1995 WRX trans. not sti not ra. just run of the mill wrx???

try some searches on here there should be a list but someone might know forsure what it is if you give us the number on the tranny
or try the number in the search and that might do it
it will most likely be 3.9 or 4.11
