Well i was reading the horror stories about trannies and most of them seem to be centered around the wrx trannies. I hope to one day do a wrx or sti engine swap and im wondering if my stock tranny is strong enough.
I have a 2000 2.5rs and am experencing some grinding occasionally going into 4th and 5th gear grind at high rpm.
so those seem to be indicators of sencro issues.
now im all paranoied (especially sence i go away to school id hate to brake down there!).
I am wondering if there is any stock subaru tranny stronger than the rs one? or should i just go with after market gear set? or should i just save the money rebuild the rs trans and upgrade down the road if it shatters?
