i have been looking around junkyards to get a 2.2L to put into my 1.8L 1995 impreza coupe. I have found the EJ22 to be about 3-400 bucks, and there was one legacy turbo, a 91 that he said 1000 for with the turbo, 750 with out. is that a good deal? i could probably talk him down too. what all should i make sure i get with it? ill need the ecu, but i can use all my pumps from the 1.8 and such correct? i know this has been done a bunch so ill keep reading around, but thanks a lot for the help.

The NA EJ25's are a lot easier to come by. They would probably cost about the same and you will have more power right out of the box. I would contact LIC Motorsports to see if they have those. I am pretty sure they do.

 

I was going to say if you are in the Milwauke area (Wisconsin) there are 4 bone yards whith a ton of Subaru parts.
