RS/STi swap need help!
I was considering an STi swap into a 99 2.5rs (2 door). I was wondering what good sites there are to find a Motor and Tranny at a decent price. I would like to use the EJ257 and possibly a V7 tranny but im open to similar set ups. Also if anybody In the Tri-state area (NY,NJ,CT) and PA knows of a shop that could do the wiring, that'd be good. Thanks.

www.gruppe-s.com for the motor and maybe the tranny.
www.iaperformance.com is also a good place to look for both.
As far as the wiring goes....I only know of places out here on the West Coast. Unfortunately both Gruppe-S and IA Performance are out here too, but they are the most consistant sources of these types of parts that I know of.

East Coast Swappers! They're in MA, someplace or try inquiring at rs25.com.
There's Colin(turbocolin@nabisco) but i doubt he'll be able to help you since he's kinda unavailable as of the moment. He use to do housecalls and he's done swaps with subys in and around the Tri-State. GL!

Four Star Motorsports (.com?) out of Canada is the place to go. They know their stuff and will sell you the entire drive train. There are a lot of parts that need to be changed. The last time I looked into it, the whole kit for 2001 JDM Sti was about $12,000 (out of my price range). What a great project, though! Good luck.

see if you can score a totled STi with all the parts you need. buying a car can be cheeper then what the parts add up to.
