Heres mine....although not in the car yet damnit...hopefully soon. Adam of LIC is gonna be taking care of the swap. There has been a little bit of confusion as to what exactly this motor is...as the intake manifold has been painted. The VF30 is there, there are no TGVs, so yeah...Alex, if you could actually put this to rest for me that would be awsome. Got the NON DCCD, all LSD'd out 6 speed with it, so there are a few things that just made Adam and I, and the rest of us wonder for sure. Its goin into my 00 2dr RS...cant wait!!! Thanks.
EJ207DW3CR-1BD is the number if the picture isnt that clear...my camera wasnt coopperating.

JspecGC8,
Which Greddy front mount kit are u using? Just out of curiousity....I have a chance to get my hands on one but its for the 02+ and fitment Im sure will be an issue, though I know it can be made to work. Thanks man, sounds like you're gonna have one hell of a car once ur done.

EJ207DW3CR-1BD.....you definitly have an STi engine. That model number is from the early production JDM '01 VER7 STi non-RA. Having a repainted red intake plenum is common if it had gotten scuffed up...... and also JDM cars had no TGV's in their STi's but used the same cast runners....

Hmmm....that makes me wonder tho....since my transaction for engine and tranny was for a 2003. And there were a few hick-ups along the way.

Thats a MY02 regular STi.
Aaron, International B, has the same motor. He put down ~250whp at Shiv's with VF34 and turbo back without remap. You can ECUTEK it also. It will probably make around 270whp.

Yep. He ran 96 octane with stock JDM ECU.
He did have VF34, but a VF30 won't make much less. Few hp, at the most I think. And he had a turboback exhaust.
That is why I am really anxious to see how a fully tuned Spec C motor that I have will do.

She started as a 1996 L wagon with an EJ22 power plant.
<insert stock L picture here>
In July of 2003 she got WRX brakes all around.

In November of 2003 she got a WRX transmission, rear diff, and all associated bits.

In December of 2003 she got the rest of the WRX drivetrain with some extras.

In August of 2004 she spat out a valve.

In September of 2004 she was stripped nekkid.

In October of 2004 she was breathing once more.

And currently, she looks like just another subaru :devil:.

No one knows what an "ej207dw5cr" is? Is "R" with air con?
Pretty please...I can't find anything with "DW5CR" on it but me.
I was told it was 2004 JDM STi, not Spec C.
I know it definitely has no TGV's, and it has a vf37 twinscroll.

ej207dw5cr = MY03 STi. Non-Spec C, non-RA.
Regular STi. Twin Scroll. W/ AC.
The info you got is correct, besides the model year. The model year number is the third one to the last. In this case it is 5. To get model year, you need to subtract 2. 5-2=3.
MY03.
Good luck with the swap!
