intercooler hitting the ac tubes
intercooler hitting the ac tubes
i wanted to ask...i had gotten installed a STI interooler in my 04 wrx. there is a squeaky sound coming from the intercooler everytime i hit a bump or shift gears. i found out that the intercooler is hitting the AC tubes and i'm afraid it might cause a hole in the tubing itself when near too much heat. is there anyway i can prevent this (both squeaking and a hole in the AC tubing) from happening. i saw that the tubing itself is starting to melt. please help me. i don't want to have a bigger problem in the future.

put some rubber tubing on the ac line there not much you can do. just put some kind of rubber or something that acts like a cushion. good luck cheers&ENJOY!!

I used a short piece of heater hose on mine when I went with a big IC on my '02. Just slit a piece of hose about 1" long and slide it around the AC line.
