I recently replaced my starter on my car because the solonoid went out on the old one and now I can't keep my car running. I have a 99 2.5rs with a 03 wrx ej20 and 02 wrx ecu 04 sti tranny wrx flywheel and clutch and rs starter for the offset match. I put the Bosch starter on my car and it started making my car throw cel for cam and crank position sensor circut malfunction, I figures it wasbecause I was lazy when I changed the starter and the hot lead split second touched the head and arched out during removal. On replacement I disconnected the battery so it didn't happen again. Now the car turns over and over and over backfires and only starts when I stop cranking and then quickly try it again. I had the battery checked=fine checked resistance on sensors=fine replaced anyway and still cel took starter back got new one and then it turned right over and fired on the first shot, o and I replaced the fuel filter also when I had the lines off to check for the correct fuel pressure everything seemed cool for a day but now my car just dies after idleing fine for 10 minutes I troubleshot it and it seems like the fuel pump controller is having problems it shuts off the pump at idle when I turn the key back on it primes and then the car starts again 10ish minutes later it dies. I have a walbro pump and have not had any problems with it till now. Any ideas??? Thanks for looking, mike
