Does anyone know what it entails to transplant a 03 WRX dash into a 99 L? My Dad says he doesn't know if he likes the deal 'cuz he says I would probably have to rewire the whole car from front to back? Any help?

If you want my true and honest opinion... you will rewire the car front to back. However, you have the option to have ECS merge the wiring harness for you. Either way, $$$!

As for putting in the dash and gauges, I think it should be okay. Like I said, wiring is going to make or break you.

Of course you'll swap the dash, harnesses/or splice it with GT or ECS, swap out the support beam behind the stock dash for the 03 beam and mount it all up. It won't be a 100% perfect fit, it will leave some gaps on the corners near the vents but it WILL WORK...just takes a little more effort to complete it.

Go to www.rs25.com ALOT of us RS & L guys there that have done swaps or have the car swapped plus alot of info. Decide if you really want to do this or just get a newer wrx. I have a swapped 98RS and love it, but after driving the GD body styles....I want the newer stuff lol.
