I4 to I6 in a 95-98 2.5 RS
Okay, this might be a stupid question, but im new at all this, so dont castrate me.
Im looking to buy subie, and have already had some ideas on projects, but im not 100% sure yet. so i figure, ask you guys, since you guy swould know better than i. anyhoo- my question is- Is it possible to put a 3.0 liter outback engine in the impreza? i think its an Inline 6- (im not positive, subarus arent my forte) and i know the impreza runs a 4. so is it possible, or would there not be enough room.
i figure, it'd put out serious power if i not only put in the 200-something HP 3.0 liter, but if i slapped a turbo along side it. so, bonus question- would a turbo fit too? or a supercharger? if not, i'll stick with high comp pistons.
Thanks a billon.

ahh the lovely roads of engine swaping! Should have considered the STi engine before the h6 imho. turbocharged and intercooled...if you were in toronto i chould personally take you to one, straight from japan still in crate!
a couple of years ago, some guys in the tri-state forum put a H6 in a GC body. the engine came out of the Outback LLBean Edition. legacy engines, minus the legacy B4, can be transplanted into a GC without too much trouble(if you have the cash), although it would be better to drop in a JDM WRX engine(93-now) or a USDM STi.

Well, im not in toronto, im in minnesota. finding parts out here is almost impossible, since the town is so dinky. the only "speed shops" we have out here, say, "Alright! we'll trick out your car!" and then bolt on a cold air, exaust, header, and then slap on some new rims and a spoiler and then give you a thumbs up. Let alone, be able to hook me up with a engine.

This company is not too bad on pricing, I have gotten B16As and SR20DETs from them a few times.
