I am looking for a 2.5 crank, I don't know if I want it stroked yet.
And Scat offers cranks for LOTS of engines, including big and small block chevy.
Can I-speed help me out? I am planning on a engine build from the ground up. I have a 2.5 core wich I am slowly reinforcing with brazed aluminum because Cobbs are just too expensive.

I'm not sure what Cobb gets for their motors, but there are other vendors/companies out there that offer built motors. Are you building your own to save $$$ or doing it for the experience or maybe both?
Just curious here

I am doing it myself because it will cost MUCH less $
and
I will learn alot if I do. My grandfather has avery extensive machine shop with every tool I will ever need, including a milling machine that I can use for the block and heads. He has showed me quite a bit already. He used to own a shop in Fair Oaks called Speed-O-Motive where he built MANY race cars and boats. He held the world speed record in a boat in 1968:
198mph at the Long Beach stadium.
