airbag question on my seats

I put sti seats on my tr and the airbag is out on the passenger seat. On my dash it says airbag off. Does this mean the passenger has no airbag at all or is it just in the seat? Also the airbag light is on the gauge cluster so does this mean i have no airbags?

What year STI seats? USDM or JDM? If the airbag light is on the cluster, the airbags won't work. Did you connect the airbag igniter? check the fault codes, maybe the resistance is different (Don't know why it would, but it could )

well the drivers seat is jdm but the passengers seat airbag is out. I meant to ask would the airbags in front be disabled if the airbag light is on?

Yes. It disables the whole system IIRC. If you wire in a resistor to the airbag plug, it should get rid of that light. I don't know the proper resistance, you'd have to ask around.
