99-00 whats the difference

Whats the difference between the 2000 2.5 rs model and the 1999 rs model. Is the shell the same? the engine.

Car Info: 1999 2.5RS / 2004 Forester X

99's have a MAF sensor and 00's have a MAP. You can get the '00 in sedan or coupe, '99 is coupe only. Other than that they are both the same, SOHC heads with the Phase II 2.5 block.

Imprezer is right 99 9.7:1
00 10.3:1 They also have different ECU's.

98 are the best cause they come with the goldies. boo the DOHC Ej25 leaky gaskets are a problem trust me i know.
