98 sti engine and tranny

What would it take to put this in the 2005 wrx. I have found one for sale and want to know if it would be worth the time and effort?

but

it's not CA smog legal (if you live in CA that is)

why did you buy a WRX if you want to put a 98 STI motor into it?
