I've had it done, I'll dig up the parts list later tonight. FInal cost was about $3,900 after searching for deals on new parts (ie: clutch) and waiting for good deals on used parts for over a year. I owe great thanks to members here on i-club (hp & ipozestu) for hooking me up with amazing prices on some used parts.

Sell it and buy a car with a manual, would probably be cheaper.

I didn't go that route because
A) My car hadn't had any mechanical issues for the few years I had it before doing the swap
B) All parts were installed by my or under my supervision
C) I now have a hardened close ration gearset

sell the car and get one with a 5 speed factory, auto to stick is not a cheap or easy swap lol

The only reason I suggest it is because I did a 6MT swap in my 06 TR, by the time I bought all the parts, I could have sold my car and bought an STi for close to the same difference. I did the swap myself, so I saved on labor, but it still was expensive.

Yeah, and on mine I probably only would have lost $2k (I'm guessing you can't sell an auto for as much as a manual used due to demand and performance) so for me that extra ~$1,900 was worth it for the peace of mind knowing that I'm not going to be surprised by anything with a new used car.

Just my £0.013

Yeah, auto's in these car are quite rare. It's really not a big deal to drop that much money on the project if you plan on keeping the car for a long time, which it looks like you are from the date on your original thread. In my situation, it was either spend money and repair a broken 5 speed or spend some more and fix it for good (I hope).
