So much Maintenance!

Hi guys, I recently reached 100k on my 05 STi and now I'm looking to do a bunch of maintenance to the car to her running healthy. Looking at getting a 105k service and possibly a tune by EQ. I also need to replace brake pads and rotors for the Brembos... Anyone had any experience with a slightly different set up that works well? Combining another rotor with the brembo calipers or switching to a completely new set up? Thanks in advance.

Mike

yeah i know right. Brembo pads and rotors are a little pricy.

go with dba rotors and for pads you can get hawk pads. both will work with the brembo calipers. its the setup Im running.

dba rotors are some great rotors. Go with your price range. they have a few series: street, 4000, or the 2 piece 5000 rotors.

hawk pads are some nice pads too. they have a few types to go with:
HPS - street use, light track.
HP+ - street use, track
DTC30 - Track pad, street able too.

as you step through the pads each one dusts more than the next. I'm still running the DTC pad on my setup and it dusts like crazy. but it stops on a dime and could easily put you through the windshield if your not strapped in. lol.

I just had EQ change my rotors with dba slotted rotors and hawk hps pads and they feel awesome. I would highly recommend dba but stoptech makes a great part too, it's all just preference. Brendan and the guys at EQ are really helpful, just give them a call and they will get your car running right
