Was in Pismo last Saturday!

Kinda random but ya! Was in Pismo riding my quad (with no paddles =[) with some friends of mine. Riding pretty much the whole day and have seen pretty much everything that was out in the dunes it self. Towards end of the day I noticed something odd and unusually for being out there.

Normally you see lifted trucks, dune buggies, sand rails, and other neat toys. Well what I saw was like a late 80's Subaru wagon that looked pretty stock not lifted or lowered at all. We had headed out towards the back of the dunes along the fence lines to discover better bowls and dunes to climb up. I was cruising around with a Jeep Wrangler, 2 dirt bikes with paddles and my self of course. Found this nice sweet tall, steep, long, and btw nice bowl to carve the top of. We are all going at it, my buddy in his Jeep decides to carve the other one next to it. All of a sudden once he came down the Subaru came charging at the bowl, he had went higher and did it faster than the Jeep! So the Jeep tries to go higher and couldnt do it for some reason. Yet again the Subaru grabs some speed and heads for the bowl and goes up even higher than he had did BEFORE! It was freakin awesome to see! Later on he tried to keep up with us when we were racing side by side on some virgin sand doing about 45-55mph(peak)!

Thought Id share this with you guys with it dealing with a Subaru and showing up a Jeep in the sand!

That's pretty badass dude. That would be crazy to take a subie out there.

The nearest thing to a Subie in the dunes that I experienced was riding in my friends' STi powered sand rails at Dumont dune.

100mph wheelies and massive air FTW, and the turbo intake is deafening right behind my head!

Hahaha OOOOOOOHHH ya that would be freakin awesome. There wasnt to many sand rails getting crazy, at least when I was riding. There was a buggy that flipped and there was a couple ambulances rushing out to them. Everyone kept telling me to take my subie out next time. Its tempting but I dont wanna break my daily driver yet. Thats why I bought my quad!

I'd do a Ken Block at my local ski resort before I go to the dunes. Then again i'd drive the resort anyway.
