Pros: looks nice
Cons: might make your wheel bearings fail early
Either way, good looking subie.

Ed, looks great. I hate the horizontal fender gaps.
Now roll the fenders and go MOAR LOW!
There really is no advantage to spacers other than the looks. (most people use them for clearance issues)
There are, unfortunately, many cons to using them.
Because you are making the total offset of the wheel much lower without actually running a wider tire, your handling is going to be greatly effed up. The overall scrub radius of the wheels is altered and so you're going to get a weird delayed kind of handling. Not really that great, especially with such a low offset, but hey, it does look good!

thanks guys!
yea most say that they will wear your bearing but i know tons of peeps running wide tires for years with no issues and others that have ran into many issues...
i think it depends on the type of driving your doing... if your tracking and touge driving on a regular basis then yes you will run into pre mature wear of the bearing but thats to be expected no? i mean at that point you are "beating" on the car
for me my biiich only sees about 50 miles of freeway a day and very limited sprinted driving at best.
spacers are used in some forums of racing since they are restricted to stock tire sizes and use spacers to give them that edge, so they are ok to use and do help the overall performance by giving you a wider stance.
i went with 25mm and that is about the limit since i did run into some rubbing issues on the rear and need to have the fenders rolled but over all i LOVE! IT! and wont change it for a thing!!!
nothing like ver.7 sti rims flushed up...
but the whole wide rims and spacer issue is highly debatable... so to each their own
