Subaru 2.5 RS for sale, or barter?
I have 1998 subaru 2.5 RS for sale. it JUST pass 30k. Yes, you read it right, 98'yrs with only 30k miles. ok, a little history:
Even though this is a 98 model. my brother got in Jan,99 because the dealer delay and had to order a additional one from Japan, I was told the whole US has only about 600 of them. it is subaru 's first attempt to bring rally sport car to US, one for each dealer in US to test the market. Well, now we have WRX...
Anyway, he had the car and drive about less than 3 years in Wisconson as a phd student. (just from apartment to school) then he got married and he got anther car and his wife got a car. So last time I visit the him a few years back, he gave me the car, I drove to Delware and put in my relative 's garuage because I live in NY and has a caravan and it is a stick. The car just seat in the private garuage for about 3 years!(really, just seat there, my relative don't have the key and they have a 4 car garuage, well it is Dover, Delware) Along the way I got married, then my caravan is down, so I give it to my relative in DE and bring the RS up to NY. However, now is problem, no, the car is perfect, the problem is my wife, she hates it, no only she don't know how to drive a stick, (infact I consider she don't know how to drive anything but me. Even the DMV personale order me give her more practice lesson the day she pass her road test, that is less than a years ago btw), she don't even like to seat in the black beauty. she claim it is not as comfortable as the van, (of course, this is rally sport car, and the one she get used to is a van!) so Now she is force me to sell it and get something else.
Blue book value for this year and model is $8800. Since mine has just pass 30k and tune up will be done next week, it is way better than "good condition", I will consider any offer AT LEAST $9000 or a comparable car with similar value. I also replaced rear breaks completely when I got it from Wisconson, no rust whatsoever.
The car is DE registered, black, clean, always stay in indoor garuage except now in NY which is outdoor garuage. I do plan to get a bigger car though. so if you know any good deal, (Subaru Forester would be nice.) match me up, that would be nice too.
so please! if you are serious, name your justed price. or if you have any great idea to get me out of this sitution, I am willing to listen.

go for an SVX...just get new brakes and a transmission cooler and shift kit and aftermarket wheel bearings and you dont haev to worry about all the SVX problems, so then youll have a 40 grand sports subaru for about 7 grand
