FS: '98 2.5RS Blue Perl - Cali car in Boston
Looking to sell my fairly stock rally blue 2.5RS. I'm the original owner and I've always had the car maintained per the schedule at the dealer and, until recently, in California. Here are the particulars:
118K miles - non-smoker
Manual Transmission
Original 16" gold wheels w/minor curb scuff on lhs – just happened :-(
New brakes & rotors
New BF Goodrich KDWS tires
Cruise control
Premium sound w/Blaupunkt CD player
Keyless entry
22 mm rear sway bar
Trunk light
Thule roof racks w/extender bars
Paint is OK, but there are some door dings and hood chips. The clear coat is pealing off the hood vent and scoop. I logged complaints w/Subaru early on, but they wouldn't do a thing. I had the timing belt replaced at 90K (also at 60K) when they fixed an oil leak at the front of the engine, so it’s good for another 30K mi. I'm in my 40's, take care of my toys and have never raced or auto-crossed the car. I'm looking at putting a new clutch in the car and have thought about one of the after market units, but will go stock unless a buyer says otherwise (BTW - which clutch is recommended?). It's been a great car and very reliable.
Car is currently in Boston area since I came out in the Fall for knee surgeries (so much fun), but I haven't been working so it hasn't seen much of the New England winters (i.e. salt). Prior to that I was in the rust-free San Jose, CA area. I have Cali plates on the car and clear title. Trying to get my hands on a digital camera to post pics since the ex-beloved made off with mine.
I'm asking $7,500 obo
