2005 WRX Wagon

2005 WRX Wagon, automatic transmission, 87,xxx miles. This car is immaculate, inside and out. All maintenance up to date. The body and interior are just about perfect. Adult owned, never abused. Asking $12,400, this is the blue book value for this car in excellent condition, and it really is in excellent condition. The car is located in Chico but can be seen in the Santa Rosa area if needed.

(707) two nine two - four six one zero

This car isn't stock.
- STI pink springs and aftermarket front sway bar
- Rota 17" wheels
- Grimmspeed uppipe (installed by LIC Motorsports)
- STI intercooler and hood scoop
- STI fuel injectors
- GM BCS
- Aftermarket fuel pump
- Full custom open source tune by Ed at EQ tuning

The car has a bit of a long story behind it. The original owner brought the car to LIC Motorsports and had them install a VF39 turbo, STI TMIC, STI injectors, bigger fuel pump (LIC will know which one exactly), uppipe, downpipe, and full exhaust, STI pink springs, and an aftermarket front sway bar. The car was then open source tuned by Ed at EQ tuning.

The second owner of the car was Subaru dealership in the San Jose area (Carfax will tell you which one exactly, I don't remember). I don't know for sure but I think the dealership removed the VF39 turbo and replaced it with a stock TD04, and removed the downpipe and exhaust system replacing them with oem units. The car was then sold to the guy we bought it from. He had the car for 2-3 years and drove it for around 30,000 miles and really took excellent care of the car.

We bought the car in October of 2010. Soon after we bought the car the uppipe developed a leak and the local shop couldn't figure out what was wrong with it (they're a bunch of idiots!), so we took the car down to LIC Motorsports. The uppipe was replaced by LIC but after they replaced the uppipe the car still was a bit down on power. The narrowed it down to the turbo so I bought a used TD04 with only 4,000 miles and had LIC swap the turbo, problem solved. However, LIC realized that the car was still tuned for the VF39 turbo.

I had LIC do a compression test on the engine and they found that the engine has excellent compression, all cyclinders are are + or - 2 psi of 150psi. I have the receipt from LIC with the compression test numbers. The engine was very healthy so we took the car back to Ed at EQ tuning and had him do a full custom tune. It is tuned fairly conservatively with boost peaking right at 14.5 psi. It's basically a smoother and safer version of the stock tune, but we had to do a full custom tune because of the bigger fuel pump, injectors, etc.

The car runs great, pulls hard, and gets 27-28 mpg on the highway!

The cool thing about this car is that you could install a bigger turbo, get it tuned, and have a very fast car very easily because all of the supporting mods are already on the car.

We are selling the car simply because it's too small for us. We bought the car to use for road trips and after taking it on several we realized there is not enough room. I think we are going to get a 4runner which won't be as much fun to drive but will have a bunch more space. We will miss driving this car!

Here are a bunch of photos.
