4. is wrong. I have one and i have dyno'd proof that it does alot. It just depends on which one you get. I have one that gave me 8+hp and about 15-20 ft lbs of torque no joke, no lie.

and because you're probably gonna ask which one here you go...

http://12.22.11.12/kaynz

The company is out of business because you are all name brand ****** and it's not "JDM" so I think only 4 people ever bought one.

The whole CAI is worthless on a turbo car is trash...

Yes the air gets heated. DUH. But you get a greater initial charge... more air.. dense like the people who believe it does nothing. More air = more power. So for the simple fact it allows for a more dense flow of air it does provide benefits.

He probably should should've put JDM stickers on it and you all would've been on it like a fly on crap.

Thats like saying with just bolt ons on a WRX is like having the same horse power as the STI. Main point is without a turbo upgrade/tuning/mildly modded WRX is not gonna beat a EVO sorry. So think what you want to think, considering im the only person to actually give you a straight true answer about the topic of this thread tells you something. Also you asked about reliability, i would say both Subaru and mitsubishi have really bad quality and both companies are horrible with warrenty work. So if you mod with either car be prepared to pay.
Did I mentioned "simple mods"????

STI has a bigger engine, therefore is able to handle the turbo better than Evo. . .and that the engine is more reliable with the set-up it has than the EVo. . . that's why the engine would last longer than Evo. . .
I only mentioned WRX, Evo, and STI.
Since when did mustang came up to our discussion anyway.

You're asking me bout logic, check yourself out . . Do you even belong here?. . Does this say "Evo-club.com".

my red suby, the main reason a lot of sti's are being bought here are because of the crazy mark ups that turn a $28k car into a $38k car.

wingless wonder, i was trying to be sarcastic, since it seemed that the only mod that he wanted was something to boost psi. and in terms of smoking, it would be smoking every car in the world, since the engine would go boom.

mevolution, my suby will beat your car as soon as i get my rfl bov and CAI

Also me owning a EVO has nothing to do with the facts ive mentioned in my posts. I wasnt being a fan boy saying NO STI or WRX will ever beat a almighty EVO. Your just putting words in my mouth. Oh i didnt know this forum was exclusive to people who ask dumb questions and call people trolls when you answer them....geeez
Why the hell you keep mentioning mustang. . . . STI and WRX has different engine type than mustang and can't be turboed. . . . ."almighty Evo my ***" .. .

Either way ill take a IRON block over Aluminum 1. I hope you didnt think me saying "almighty evo" i was serious, its called SARCASIM. I love all cars and not once did i down talk on the wrx or sti so grow up dude im not here to troll. Now i really regret answering a stupid question.
"WHY DO YOU EVEN BOTHER ANSWERING QUESTION HERE IF YOU THINK ITS STUPID . . . . STOP.. . .. IS THAT HARD TO DO!!!" . . .

oh i'm sorry! "ITS REALLY LOOK OBVIOUS THAT YOU'RE BEING SARCASTIC"

Anyway, we're the only one here arguing about reliability so I guess we can't really assure it. Guess we'll find out through the long run. Now, if you can't accept that, then say whatever makes you happy !!!

Where are you located? There's an Integra GSR in my neighborhood that's always trying to race me on the streets. I don't street race (I usually have my kids with me in my WRX), so of course I just let him go on by. Save it for the track or AutoX...

I used to own a modified GSR and am fully aware of what they are capable of and what their limits are. This thread is hilarious!
