I leave tommorro mornin at 6 am to fly to philly to pick up my white STi. :banana: Cant wait for that 10 hour drive home w/o a radio. I think the insurance wont give me a prob, if I didnt have the harnesses I would have been injured more. I just got a knock on the head, it wasnt bad. The side bag may have prevented that. Without bags, there was no burn, and with the harnesses no belt marks. The bar definatly kept the structure ridgidity, so the mid section didnt crush at all.

Glad to hear that you are ok, and were able to walk out alive!

If you don't mind me asking how does that work as far as insurance? I have never gotten in an accident (knock on wood) but how if a car like the wrx that is less expensive than the STI can you go up to an STI? Does insurance just buy you a new car? Or do they say "you have X amount of money to spend on the car" or since you paid $25,000 that is how much we give you a check for and you go out an buy another car for that much?

when the car is totalled they give you the cars value. I had about $2,000 in aftermarket, gotta see how that does with reimbursement.

You guys are gonna HATE me. I got the pics today on my new digital camera. But, my parents house is getting redone and after christmas I left the box with all the cables to it there. I leave for hawaii tommorro so I cant post them for about 10 more days. I am sorry for this. To get a visual pic in your head, pop your hood, look at your battery and be glad it is there. That is about how far it goes in on mine. The floor mats from it are nice in the STi
