I'm not talking about a turbo car, I'm talking about removing the stock plugs on an RS/OS hood, and how much it effects performance, and if it effects it enough to be considered "functional". I don't think that removing the plugs is a "performance mod". Sure it lets the engine breath a bit more - but i don't think it would make a noticable difference.

Why would who I am change anything?

The hood scoops on non-turbo Subarus were meant for looks, that's it. They are non-functional and probably give you a little more wind resistance.

hehehe I just heard that the new Corvette C6 uses leaf springs...I can't believe modern American supercars use such old technology. But then again the C6 is faster than even a Porsche GT3 in a road course so I guess the old tech works.

Corvettes have used transverse leaf springs in the rear for years. It's not the traditional leaf springs you see on a truck. The spring is mounted transversely so one end of the spring is mounted to the left rear suspension and the right end to the right rear suspension. It is a fully independant suspension. The front uses coil springs. My fathers 66 vette had this and his C5 does too.

And your right it works. The C5 is a sweet car to dive lots of torque and incredible grip.
