Why does Mustang have useless parts?

And who are you? Yes it does drop the temperature considerably and if you need numbers do some research. Functionality would mean that it does force air onto the IC. I did say it was a crappy design but it works not well but it works therefore it would be FUNCTIONAL. Also SCC I believe did a comparo between a stock TMIC and an AM TMIC while driving and stopping showing the temperature drop after the car began moving again so again its functional!!
I'm not talking about a turbo car, I'm talking about removing the stock plugs on an RS/OS hood, and how much it effects performance, and if it effects it enough to be considered "functional". I don't think that removing the plugs is a "performance mod". Sure it lets the engine breath a bit more - but i don't think it would make a noticable difference.
Why would who I am change anything?

hehehe I just heard that the new Corvette C6 uses leaf springs...I can't believe modern American supercars use such old technology. But then again the C6 is faster than even a Porsche GT3 in a road course so I guess the old tech works.

Corvettes have used transverse leaf springs in the rear for years. It's not the traditional leaf springs you see on a truck. The spring is mounted transversely so one end of the spring is mounted to the left rear suspension and the right end to the right rear suspension. It is a fully independant suspension. The front uses coil springs. My fathers 66 vette had this and his C5 does too.
And your right it works. The C5 is a sweet car to dive lots of torque and incredible grip.
