I have comcast (aka concash) and they only have a "new" on-demand episode of fifth gear like once every two weeks or more. As far as I can tell, Top Gear itself is no longer on US airwaves

Check out this news blurb: http://www.finalgear.com/news/2005/1...-usa/#more-226

Basically the Top Gear they were showing here before on Discovery was a bunch of older BBC episodes edited together with refilmed studio parts (and lots of the humor stripped out unfortunately). Now it seems they're planning on making a totally new and separate Top Gear just for the US.

I love the UK Top Gear because of the quirkyness of its humor and hosts. I don't feel like a show done here would have the same feel but I'll give it a chance at least.

That sucks. The show was fine the way it was. Although "Who's Line is it Anyways" came out better when they redid the format to suit american tastes....I doubt it will work for Top Gear. I guess we'll see.

when ever something form UK tv comes to US it ends up as a pile of poo

"The Office" and "Coupling" for example.
