was watching top gear vid sti vs evo....????

and they said the evo had some traction control setting where u can tell it where to be on tarmac, snow, or gravel is that true for our us model?

No, EVO VIII center diff has a viscous coupling, much like the USDM WRX.

It must of been some other then A-spec, I have seen pictires where it's a switch with three settings snow, tarmac and gravel.

the jdm model evolutions get the ayc and acd.. and it has the 3 differential thing you're talking about..with a 6spd. the usdm evo get none of that except the viscous and a 5spd. the us always manages to get ripped off!! even in the uk, they've got the fq300 model, which has all the added stuff plus about 300hp as opposed to the regular 271. the usdm evo is nice, but we got ripped..

there is a reason we did not get it the space where the computer goes for the ACD is used by the emissions crap they had to put on it for the USDM
