Time for paint... color - you choose.
Alright, I've finally found an unpainted hood (after the whole deer incident) and got it on the way to me... It's a Primitive fiberglass WRC replica. The paintjob on the car, is, well, not so good. the clearcoat is chipping in a few places and got it's share of imperfections from an amatuer clearcoat job in the past.
Current car color is silver. I'm thinking that if going to the effort of stripping and repainting the whole car, might as well get it done a unique color. Metallic colors look really nice (I really kinda like the metallic copper color that's pretty popular right now, also like gunmetal a lot) but I have a hard time matching metallic colors for repairs, and metallic paint costs more, and I'm thinking that over this car's life, I'm going to have to match the paint again (somehow inanimate objects tend to want to jump out into the road and scrape the fenders, so says my wife who drove the car for the past 2 years :-|) And since I've got aspirations of making it a road racing car in the future, additional scrapes are almost certain...
Options I'm considering so far... add your suggestions:

I voted for copper as it being the best color there, blaze orange or deer green would be hidious IMO. If you want a cheap paint job, strip and prime it yourself, then take it to an ARMY depot and have the camo-bomb it, usually around 200 bucks if you know someone. Then clear coat the car. But if you want a really good color, look into Royal Saphire Blue, it's a toyota supra color and it looks awsome.

Though camo bomb... that's an idea. I could take it rally racing and it would dissappear in the woods... just a set of numbers hovering over mud-caked rims... There are quite a few military bases around here. or maybe Desert tan- hmm -jk
Seriously - I do know some military guys in Savannah... but they're all in Iraq right now. Could you really get it painted flat black through the Army? Never really considered that.... wonder if it would be any better than just shooting it in my own garage? Flat black seems so ricer though. John Deere Green is a much classier color, IMO
Royal Sapphire Blue is awesome but so is BMW Lemans Blue. I also like just a pearl white with a good clear coat. The best paint job I have ever seen was actually a pearl white but the paint had these flakes in it. It was awesome.
