That's a bling-bling! No performance mod = bling-bling. Man, I am getting sick of waiting for the STi. Maybe a Nissan Murano is not bad after all! (I need AWD). Anyone here has any experience with it?!? (Sorry for sidetracking your thread, Janq)

I've seen and been in some hardy debates/arguements (search on me & '4G63') but that was over the top.

Everybody knows the STi will walk away from a G35C 6MT if only by a few feet/seconds in any race. A simple power to weight check tells the whole story. Why debate that?

Anyway, that was charming.

As for the STi wait, me too friend...me too!
But don't go Murano. A mentor of mine used to always say; "If you're gonna do it, do it right!".
Right = Infiniti FX35/45!

But if the cost is off putting then I strongly encourage you to investigate the somewhat pedestrian _looking_ but othewise very nice Honda 'Pilot' SUV. I got my wife one 6 weeks ago to replace our recently totalled Volvo wagon and its a blast. I won't go through all the details as you can find mucho praises of it anywhere you look but the bottm line is it has the V6 from the Accord only its making much more HP & Torque and it scoots with no hesitation. I got my E'X-L RES' which includes leather, seating for _eight_ (8), power eveyrthing and a very cool DVD based rear entertainment system in addition to a CD & tape palyer for $1K below MSRP (an ex-cowrker sells Honda's).
In my area there is a 3 month wait on them and they are outselling the mighty Odyssey (and you know the wait on those have been crazy for years!) though I took delivery immediately.

Today we got dumped on with nearly 6" of rain in a two hour span so I took her out "on some errands" (official excuse) to get her dirty and see what she could do. Boy, that thing is fun in the mud and splashing through flood zones. As much fun as my Legacy AWD, and thats saying alot.

BTW, the Pilot is the only SUV to get five star ratings in _all_ tests for saftey & crashworthiness! It beats out everything including Volvo's XC-90 SUV (which did terribly). The only thing better will be the VW Touareg which is what I was planning to get (was on order) but some a$$hole took out the Volvo ahead of schedule.

ill never understand why the first thing some people want to upgrade on their new car is piaa light bulbs. do you really need upgraded step lights and dome lights? wtf?
