has good pull but if you know how to drive your STI. str4 wont pull on you. even on freeway.
wow... evo's i heard push 20's?? i could be wrong by a long shot but i remember seeing the video comparison of the EVO IV vs. the 06 STi (which btw STi "won") hmmm if the boost was tweaked to 18.5 like the srt's are ... how much hp / tq gain would u get to the wheels?

btw. R.I.P. SRT-4'S... good bye neon's... good riddance.

1320 times are more driver than you think. I've only taken my STi :Ecutek FMIC CAI once, I raced my friends STi Ecutek Big TMIC and injectors, 20g turbo, 5 passes 5 wins for me. each time friends car had more mph at the end of the 1320.

I almost bought an Srt-4 last week, that is until I found my Legacy. The Srt-4 is a blast to drive and from a roll felt quicker than the wrx I test drove. I would have bought it if I hadn't found such a good deal on the 05 Legacy GT.

sorry to post in an old post, but i was searching and found this thread. just wanted to clear up that an srt-4 stock only runs 12lbs at most. the ecu will pull boost in regards to keeping the car at 230hp. stock srt-4 run around 10-12 lbs. they may spike 14 for a second and then drop straight back down. i am stock srt and even from a roll an sti will take me. i have raced a few of them and we raced from like 50 to like 110 and the sti was slowly pulling on me. i am not partial to the srt-4, it was in my price range. the sti's are great. my brother has one and its a very solid car and runs like a raped ape.

Both cars have a lot of potential power add-ons. I just wish Subaru supported owners with factory stuff over the counter like Dodge does for the SRT-4. I've owned domestic iron in the past and GM, Ford, and Mopar all had high-performance catalogs with all sorts of goodies you could buy at many dealer parts counters.

For the record, I've never seen a stock SRT4 run faster than a 14.30 @ 98 mph in the 1/4.

I've also never seen a stock STi run faster than a 13.60 @ 102 mph.

You'll always see an abundance of SRTs beating STis, for no other reason that STi owners aren't recording videos of their cars beating $20,000 Neons. When somebody's $20,000 Neon beats another person's $31,000 STi they feel special.

SRTs may be quick little cars, but they're also throw-away cars. I've never heard someone say that they hope to afford an SRT-4 in the future.

I've seen a stock SRT run a 13.9. They're fast once they hook up.

AWD loses a higher percentage of power through he drivetrain(gears, diffs and driveshafts). 2wd is able to put alot more down due to the fact that it is being delivered more directly.

Correct. Subaru more-so. I believe that STis have 3 separate differentials that the power needs to travel through......

Most of the SRT owners I've run into are little wannabe thug punkasses. The ones that aren't......they don't even like SRT owners.
