Skyline conversion for US
BTW, there shouldn't be a need to crash test an Evo MR or a STi Spec C since similar models are already sold in the U.S. Besides, why bother with right hand drive when you could just convert a USDM model.
I heard a rumor that we ALREADY HAVE THE SKYLINE! It's called Infiniti G35.

And don't forget, the G35 now comes with an AWD option as the G35X.

Technically the Infiniti G35 we have now in the states is no Skyline they got going over there in Japan present time. We always get shafted when it comes to imports, but it seems to me that Nissan/Infiniti are going to make our G35s a bit more "Skyline" throughout time with options and packages, etc. Closer and closer... perhaps we will get a Skyline in the near future.

here's how I understand it... the USDM 350Z is very close to the jdm Fairlady Z, same body, detuned engine, some suspension differences. the USDM G35 is related to the jdm Skylines, same bodies (4 door skylines are available), different drivetrain, different suspension.

Skyline coupes come with only the 3.5 liter engine. The sedans come with 2.5, 3.0, or 3.5 liter engines. I'm sure you're correct as far as the suspension being a little different. And Japan has 96 octane, so the engines may be putting out a little more power than here. But, the US G35 is as close to a "Skyline" as you're going to get.
