Saying goodbye to the Suby...
That's right I'll soon be saying bye to my WRX. I have become the proud owner of a 05' Infiniti G35 coupe, Serengeti sand exterior w/ graphite gray leather and of course the 6spd. What a car. I got the car just over 2 weeks ago and have only driven the Suby once since then.
The G is much faster on the top end but is nowhere near as tossable as the WRX. I will definitely say that the WRX is just as quick as the G below 80mph. The day I took it out it did not feel slow at all just different with the turbo. The G is very torquey and you can cruise around @ 35 in 6th gear. I am actually getting better gas mileage in the G since you don't have to get on it as much (w/ a/c on especially).
I've been too lazy to take some pix yet, but I just had the windows tinted and car looks sweet. The car definitely turns heads in a different way than the WRX. It has the 19" wheels, sport pkg and rear LSD so forget driving it in the winter. I wish I could keep the WRX too but it would be too much money for me to justify it. I test drove the STI before I bought the G and was impressed by the performance but not the cheap interior. I also drove the Legacy GT limited which was pretty nice but a little soft. If Subaru had would put the Legacy interior in the STI they would sell a million of them.
I work for a dealership so I paid just over cost for the G which made the deal all the more sweet. I am going to try to pick up an older Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS for the winter so I am not straying too far away from the Subaru family. One thing is for sure I will miss the WRX when it is gone. It is honestly the best all around car I have ever owned.
