s2000 or 350z?
A friend of mine has an S2K and man how good does the car feel. You become closer with car than in any other. The tranny is the best of any production car produced today, and if you opt for the optional hard top it will be the sexiest car until a Ferrari comes along. That would be my choise but since it's yours and it would be a daily driver. You should drive both and see what you would be more comfortable with on a daily basis.

It is true that ppl always ***** about the low-end of the S2k but they dont realize its a almost like a F1 car in the sense that F1 cars dont have much grunt either ... The S2k and F1 cars are High reving beasts.
In the 350Z's case I have to say the exhaust note is Superb!! I was at a SCCA novice class yesterday and one drove by... EVERY1 just got quiet, turned and looked at the Z pass on the Highway going about 7/10th. UM UM Good!
I have not driven either but i would get the S2k mainly because it is proven to be really good in all aspects and in the "Topless battle" that Car and Driver did witht he 350Z, S2k (MY00), Boxter, and Z4... the S2k came out on top with the 350Z in second.
Go test drive them both and see what you are comfy with. If you are going to Race at all I would go with the S2k hands down. If you were going with just daily commute I would go witht eh 350Z convertable. To each his/her own so Good luck with the decision.
I choose a WRX wagon over both orf them because I needed room that neither could provide. =o)

From: Are you too one of the few still living the past? Well I can change that! With a simple wicket. Yes, my friend, a wicket. PM for details.
Car Info: No car right now....sob.
i would have to say the 350z, tho my opinion is slightly biased, as my family owns several nissan dealerships. Get the roadster. car handles great, and is very damn sexy. i am not gonna write an essay, but the z if better.

Had I been able to afford the insurance/payments on a new S2k, I wouldn't have bought my WRX. They are absolutely phenomenal cars, there's a reason that they win every Best Motoring comparison, along with the fact that the last 2 best lap time holders at Tsukuba Circuit were S2ks. I really love my WRX, but the S2000 is just a whole other thing, much less compromise, much more fun.

s2000 all the way- we always say daily driver but we really want a driver that won't bore us. if this is a car u gonna use to work then stick with the honda. its always fun to rev it up once in a while. plus at the same time you can have some "exclusivity" i mean everyone seems to be driving a z nowadays. the s2000 is made in very limited nubers so u can be assured that every one and their grandma won't be driving it.
If you really want a daily driver i say scrape together a few more bucks and get the g35. But overall i'd say get the s2k over the 350z and as long as you aren't to tall then there really isn't any problem with the s2k as a daily driver.
If you live in the Bay Area especially San Francisco you're going to see a lot of S2000's on the roads next to you. I see em everywhere but then again the Z's are starting to fill up the roads too.
Drive them both and make the decision. I don't like the S2000's lack of interior space, though that's what makes it a "purist" sports car. I enjoyed the Z's interior a lot more, with lots of little "Z" emblems and logos everywhere, however cheesy.
Also I've noticed that S2K drivers are a lot more aggressive than Z drivers, maybe it's just the fact that they drive a Honda that makes them drive faster?

I see a lot more BMW Z convertibles and MB SLK's than I do S2K's...

350Z all the way! well the honda VTEC is good but not many companys make aftermarket parts for the s2000... so i say 350Z because its newer and more aftermarket companys make parts for them... in north carolina the 350Z is alot rarer then the s2000...i say 350Z
