Octane booster

I just got an 06 STi last month and i was wondering if i should use an octane booster because we dont have 93 octane gas in Hawaii. If i do need to use an octane booster, what is a good brand? Thanks for the help.

Just use the highest octane you can get.
Octane booster isn't going to do that much for you anyway, it only raises the octane one point which is .1 so the increase won't be significant.

Well I heard of this suff that you can use, and it will increase your octane by 2.75 if mixed correctly. Will post up the link when I find it. And it was used in f-1 racing when they were boosted and they were running 40 psi.

Toluene vs race gas octane improvement. Only specific parts were quoted from the full-length article. Octane boosters can work but there's a point of diminishing returns where it would be less costly to mix race gas with unleaded premium. Don't bother using octane boosters unless you have a real need for it. If your engine isn't experiencing detonation using pump gas, using an octane booster is throwing money away.

I'm fortunate because currently I can buy 100-octane Sunoco unleaded race gas at the pump at a local 76 station.
