Anyone else???? Come on I know there are more projects out there. I'll even expand it to odd suby's... non impreza/legacy/forester platform. Like 360's and stuff like that.
I should have some more pictures next week. I'm working on my interior for a few hours this weekend. Try to knock out one door. LOL!

werd!
I think when I get my caddy where I want it I'm gonna start putting money away for my next project. I'm either gonna buy a nice clean truck or I'm gonna get my model A coupe.

You should do another one. Do one with a ej swap in it. I've seen a couple and they're BAD! I love bugs.

I've beat this horse dead re: EJ in a Super Beetle. An EJ is too wide to fit, you'd have to tub the rear fenders in addition to running the radiator lines and duct the air. It's still doable on a budget but it's a lot of cutting a measuring and planning. It's easier, and cheaper to do an EA series motor, and if you can get someone to weld you a nice turbo manifold, can be just as fun. I think with megasquirt, a TD04 and EA, you'd be close to 200whp, which would be a **** ton of fun in a super. I saw a rendering in a brit vw mag and am thinking of doing a GTi "thunder bunny" styled super with a turbo EA. White, with a black bumper with red trim and some snowflakes.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the Super's looks I guess it's alright all modernized, but when they try to go for an OG beetle look, it just doesn't work. the roof is too stretched.

Sick.
Yeah I hate superbeetles. I learned to drive a stick in a 73.
I've always been a 56-62 kinda guy. My buddy in high school had one that got 3rd at bugarama or whatever the hell it was called back then. Ground up build all by himself. Thing was SICK. I remember he got finished with the airbrush graphics (the top 2 cars had them) and he drove it to school. Got tboned. DESTROYED! Ended up buying a camaro because he was so heartbroken over the bug destruction.
I considered buying one not to long ago but we bought my wife a forester and I decided I should probably focus on my caddy and keeping my suby running.

^ yea it could use some work.
Ive seen ones where they have ducts pulling in air from under the car with the rear deck lid prop'd open at the top
or the ones where they run tubes thru the rear windows to the motor (i dont really like that tho)
Damn thats WAY rough
I was kinda throwin the idea around to just get a custom fab'd exhaust manifold made with the turbo in that and just bypass the uppipe and start the "exhaust" sooner lol. It would free up some space around the motor too
