New SKYLINE released ?
I was playing chauffeur for my cousin and some of his friends after one of their high schol dances when one kid in the back nearly soiled himself because he saw the new "Skyline". It was actually a G35 coupe with a GTR badge and the word "Skyline" across the trunk. My cousin corrected him from the front seat and said he "Doubts that thing has 4WD or a turbo." I've never been prouder.

****in high schoolers
<----- Still in HS
The G35 is a rebadged Skyline V35.
There is nothing in the Skyline dogma that says it needs to be AWD or turbo. It is just the last few iterations of the Skyline had that as a very popular option.
The Skyline has historically been a RWD with a straight-6 motor.

the new skyline when released in the states is called the 350 gt. it also comes in an auto tranny and doesn't look all that great in my opinion. oh, and also comes in a four door model.

I should correct my post, the kid called it a GTR. He even repeated "GTR" the way the Japanese say it. "Gee-tee-ahru". I'm glad my cousin never got sucked into the trend that is "Initial D".
BTW: When did the Skyline come with AWD?!??!

Wow, lots of misinformation going on in high school. The normal Skyline is a 4 door and a coupe in Japan. RWD and not always turbo. Pretty basic transportation.
Only the GTR has the AWD and turbo. And that was only starting on the R32. Before then the Skyline GTR was RWD.
The current Skyline is the G35 here but no GTR model for the G35.
