I made a reply in that thread. I'll echo it here.

I know two guys who used it.

They both had rainx on their windshields, and that looked horrible. The auto dry thingie worked ok.

I much prefer washing the car with a qualtiy soap and mit, then drying with a california water blade, then a quality towel for the small remainder spots. Keeps the car spot free and in good shape

If you are lazy, this thing is a godsend. It doesn't get your car as clean and waterspot free as the comercials claim, but it still works better then just spraying your car down with water.

Of course, you'll never get the car superduper clean with the Auto Dry carwash, but for all those times when you need to wash your car in under 10 minutes, its perfect.

i am lazy. . . and i just saw the commercial today- and i think i will go out and buy it. i wonder how good it really is. . . here in hawaii we have some brutal elements(at least where i live). in the commercial i only seen them spray the car. i hope my car gets as clean as that when i just "spray" it
