Went and checked out the RX-8 at the dealer today. They had like 8 of them. I was really impressed.
The build quality seemd top notch, the interior was just awesome even the seats and the clutch/shifter too. That center console kicks ***!
I also really liked the swinging door thing, made it REALLY easy to get in and out of the back, and you can actually fit 4 adults in there rather easily and comfortably.
Didnt get to drive it though, but I want to now

9000 Red line! 300HP+ NA but only ~150 ft/lbs of torque? DOH!
It also got the "best engine of the year" award. It sounds so good you want to mess yourself. If someone finds a way to put a turbo or even twin turbo on those things we're in big trouble.
$30,000 fully loaded too, not a bad car.
The wankel lowers the weight and the CG of the car and is suppost to have a perfect 50/50 weight distribution and handle really well.
I think it's ugly though :P

I thought it looked better than the Z myself. Its also more practical than the S2000 with a tad more power and just as fun to rev I presume. It might not be a monster off a the line, but that top end would be so fun on a track!
BTW, has anyone ever put a Rotary engine on a motorcycle?

I don't know how practical it would be in the city with having to rev a lot just to get moving. Also wankel are known for having problems in the past so you might want to hold off until people drive them and express their opinions on it. First year of a new model is always the worst. Just my 2 cents.
I dont know any details and i am to lazy to search but i know they had rotory bikes back as far as the late 70's.
