I got clipped doing 111 in a 55 a few months ago......Went like this....

"do you know how fast you were going?"

"umm, 85-90?"

"try 111!"

I was like, "Ya I can see that."

The real bummer was he pulled me over in my driveway.....

I thought turbo cars can't be governed due to when the fuel is shut off it'll do bad things to your motor.

Nope...Just 4 points and 170 bucks...He didnt write me for Reckless or Careless driving cause it was 3 am on a rural backroad that is straight and long. He wasn't that happy with me but he said he understood the urge....Told me he had a camaro out of high school and he got popped for a similar offense...I was like "well if you understand then you can let me go with a warning" he was like "if you were doing 70 or even 90 I would but 111, man come on!" I was like..."Ya I understand...I appreciate not giving me reckless or careless" Needless to say I don't go that fast anymore...only at the track!

Cops that understand are the best. Even if they dont let you off, b/c if you take the ticket to court the will help you lessen the charge. It has happend to me a few times. Wreckless->written to Careless, talked to cop, went to court->Failure to Yeild.

I took my foot off the gas and backed down at just over 140. I was trying to hit the speed limiter, but I had to back off just before I got there. My 04 STi was so stable at that speed it was amazing. 100+ is easy cruising speed.
