The Lexus IS is "F'd"
http://www.autoblog.com/2006/12/06/d...ak-lexus-is-f/
This past Monday's article in Automotive News, let loose that Lexus was in the process of developing a new line of vehicles that seeks to compete in the luxury performance market currently occupied by BMW, Audi and Mercedes.
Well, word is that Lexus will be unveiling its IS-F sedan tomorrow, ahead of its official debut in Detroit, and decided to drop this teaser image on us. We're not salivating quite yet, but the thought of a 400+ horsepower IS that's ready to do battle with the RS4 and upcoming M3 certainly has our interest piqued. And that stacked, dual exhaust outlet is kinda cool too.

I know, the lines of the car are just so nice. I'll admit the interior is a little lack-luster tho. Kinda blocky and cheap looking for a Lexus. I should rephrase that, it's actually the dash I don't like... the seats and the rest of the interior are real nice.
A turbo IS250 would be perfect. It would make near the same power as the 3.5 V6, and have a better front to rear weight ratio... it could also keep the manual trans... despite paddle shift, we all know it's just a heavy computer controlled auto that sucks up usable power in the IS350. Not the same thing as an electronically controlled, sequential 6-speed manual. Therefore, I'd prefer the stick.
Actually I'd just be happy if someone offered a CARB legal turbo kit for the IS250. I'd definitely want one then.

From the sneak peak, I'd rock it! I do like the exterior lines of the current IS. Not sure of the is IS-F's rear tailpipes. I think it would look cleaner and still look sportscar ish if the they just made a tip the shape of the cut out in the rear bumper!
