If the Acura TL A-Spec wasnˇ¦t enough for you, this might be. The Acura TL A-Spec concept at the Los Angeles show features a new body kit, two-inch-wider track, 21-inch tires and a bad attitude. Underhood the concept gets a high-flow intake and exhaust as well as internal engine modifications to raise output to over 300 hp.
The existing TL A-Spec is limited to some dealer-installed body and suspension mods.

Acura says the purpose of this one-off concept is ˇ§to explore the next level of performance accessory possibilitiesˇ¨ for the TLˇXwhich sounds like they might eventually offer some of this stuff on real cars. Weˇ¦ll see.

JUST BARELY TOO LATE for Christmas, Panoz Auto Development has a new version of its Esperante. Available in coupe or roadster form, the Esperante GT is a more street-able version of the Esperante GT LM, the latter of which had a lot more in common with race cars than some customers wanted.

The GT comes with a sport-tuned suspension, special wheels and tires, and unique bodywork. Its 320-hp Ford V8 gets it to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds, according to Panoz, and through the quarter-mile in 13.4 seconds at 107.3 mph. Curb weight is 3197 pounds.
The Esperante GT, which makes its first appearance at the Los Angeles auto show, is the fifth special-edition Esperante in the three years the model has been on the market. With only 240 total Esperantes sold, it easily eclipses the Mazda Miata in ratio of special editions per total production. Pricing is set at $95,500; production begins in the first quarter of 2004.
