cause I'm 19 years old and I just bought a WRX.
See originally I was saving up whole high school to buy an RX7. But I was like screw it and just put down the 12K I was saving up as down payment, and my payments are like 200 a month for this brand spanking new '03. Best thing is, I'm at college near home so I put the WRX for insurance under my dad, and I'm technically only the secondary driver. and so insurance is only 800 for a 6 month premium
HELL YA!!!
I'm just wondering, what's the percentage of people on this board who don't have a wrx but are saving up money and really want one? Seems to be a lot of them.
Cause I say to them: Keep saving! I've only been driving this car for 150 miles but it just puts a smile on face whenever I get in it.
I realize there are probably 16 year olds with this car too, and it would be soooo cool if I had this car in high school, but damn, 19 and driving a wrx. WOO!!! (just hope i don't crash is)

suppose you are lucky. im 22 bought my 2004 WRX 2 months ago with only $5200 down payments $400 a month with a $3200 premium insurance on a step 22 HAHAHA. Its my first standard and i had to mess ar0ound with it, ok dumping the clutch in AWD is bad lol. I did it at 4krpm and spun all 4 tires, ok cool. Tried it again @6k blew my clutch plates to pieces and ruined the trans. talk about learning the hard way hahahah. Luckily they warrantied the trans but not the clutch because of abuse issues, should i have to pay for one when not the other? doesnt seem right to me. Ya it was my fault but wtf its only got 3280 miles on it! needless to say ill never do that again. now its goin on 4 weeks and still in the shop, what an A-hole i am heh. GL w/your 03 remember NO BURNOUTS lmao. Crazy out.

At least you realize you're lucky! When I was 19 I was driving a 10 year old Mazda. And I thought I was lucky to have a car.
Keep the shiny side up and study hard in school. When you finish school and land a good job you can upgrade to the STi and mod your WRX into a rally monster!

Very lucky you are, good you realize that. good job saving up too, you learned early what saving money is like. Now you have to practice. Learn to drive the car and take it easy, when you're 19 you have virtually no driving experience in every situation. don't race, don't drive like an idiot, please represent most subaru owners and be respectful of other drivers and your own beast. Good luck with it, beautiful car to own.

Car Info: 2005 WR blue WRX w/ premium package
yeah, i'm 19 as well and i have been saving my $$$$$ since i saw the 04 back in february of 03 at the chicago auto show. my friend got a used 02 wrx and i like it a lot. although, it is an expensive car to buy. i've been saving my money for a year now and hopefully i will get one next spring on clearance prices around 21k. Would it be possible to get an 04 wrx with the premium package around 21-22k? i'm hoping to make around a 75% down payment. thanx a lot guys
