Car Info: want a WRX
Well, its your choice what you want to f*** up in the long run. I'd go with the clutch over the tranny, as it only costs a few hundred to replace. If you want to launch you're going to put stress on either the clutch or the tranny, no matter what. So what i would do is rev it up to 3500, slip the clutch and have it fully engaged 1000-1500 rpm later. Now dont do it unless someone else agrees with me cuz im not very sure about this stuff.

Those videos are really great tools and i've seen then all before but if you have this kid trying to launch an AWD car at 1,400 rpm like the aggressive launch video for the M5 suggests he will either bog like no other or stall. That strategy while sound it should be noted is for a much more powerful RWD car.
