Not looking for "kill stories" but I'm wondering what kinds of cars are able to keep up with you guys? Please don't discuss street racing because it will get the thread locked. Just mention what kind of cars gave you a run for your money (around turns) and what you were driving at the time.

I've had a couple S13 and S14 nissans that gave me a hard time, an Evo 8, a Miata, an STI, 2nd gen RX7, an 89 Pontiac Firebird Turbo Trans Am (handles surprisingly well), and a 1st gen MR2. Those are all in my Subaru. One time a Rabbit pickup kept up with me in my 91 GTI 8v, that was pretty funny.

What cars have surprised you lately?

 

An old *** Mercedes gigantic sedan. The ones with a pretty large V-8 but I can't remember what the class or number was but the thing was a tank and seemed like it hauled some major butt considering it did keep up with me when all I was doing was speeding up to pass. My jaw dropped.

 

"at the track" i got my **** womped by a sweet car known as a Z-24

i think chevy makes them.

Cayenne Turbo, on his rear bumper through 3rd.....gutted CRX pulled on me---->motor swap for sure

Boxster S, on his bumper through 3rd.....Boxster, in my rear view thru 3rd, ok maybe not in my rearview but had him by a car length.
