About $1,000 less than the regular model. The only reason for buying an RS though is to build a rally car. It has no AC, no ABS, no power accessories, and still only manages to weigh about 100 pounds less. Oh yeah, no radio either.

Long story short... I was coming home the one night from work, saw these wierd headlights behind me.. he was RIGHT on my butt... I said wtf is this?! He pulls up beside me, I notice the clear tail lights and the wing and I scream "omg that's an evo" (only because I have never seen one in person before) he looks at me and then just takes off... we were going around 80mph, and he took off like I was standing still... I was amazed. I tried to keep up but it was a lost cause, he was gone and kept going....

:-(

Actually the EVO RS is just under $26,000 so thats like $3,000 cheaper than the regular evo. And yes it only looses a little more than 100 pounds but it does gain a limited slip front diff. Motor Trend tested one 0-60 in 4.4 which is awesome considering they tested the regular evo at 5.0. Yes the evo especially in RS form would not be as easy to live with as a WRX STi but if I were in the market for a race car the RS would be my choice. It costs about the same that I purchased my WRX for. I would much rather have the WRX as my daily driver though.

$26,000 plus tax is another $2000 in cali.

total would be about $28,000 or so

WRX is still cheaper

but hey EVO RS is definitely one of the best bang for the bucks.
