evo ix? 06 wrx?
I just want to hear all your point of view on this...Comparing speeds, how much faster is a stock evo ix to a stock 06 wrx? Is it true that in the long run an evo will always be faster than the sti/wrx? I hear many stories that a fully modded sti cant really compare to a slightly modded evo.. It really bothers me and i want to hear your opinions....thanks

over a regular stock wrx ALOT...but STi and evo are pretty close....the 9 feels more tqy than older evos due to mivec...they dyno slightly higher than STi's
but the regular WRX is a turd and should never be compared to EVO or STi

But that's like comparing Apples to Oranges ~
I drive STI's and EVO's everyweek (I sell both at my dealership). The choice between the STI and EVO I still can't figure out. How confusing is it? I could get either at $500 over invoice and I want ONE or the OTHER ~ but can't commit to either... it actually sucks. So I tool around in my NA car until I can make up my mind.
I have EVO days and then STI days ~ I guess I should stay 'single' until I decide which I can be true to!

Now dependable and reliable will be the 06 WRX.
When I did work at the Mitsubishi dealership the service
department lot was full of EVO's with all kinds of problems
and issues. It's funny because I remember saying I remember
that white EVO it was here last week with a blown headgasket.
haha!

It does come down to Suby tough as nails and Mits tough as the 10/100,000 warranty. If I got the EVO it would remain mod-less in the drive train. Suspension and 'dress up' only would be my plan and I would milk every penny from warranty 'issues'. The guys in service are my allies!

Mitsubishi has a problem with putting out cars that have recalls on them. The Evo is a great car, but the Subaru is built better. As far as the stock 06 WRX being a turd, true. Remember one thing though, it has the 2.5 so once you put a tbe, fuel pump, injectors, and an FP Green you have a sick sleeper on your hands that will take any stock STI or EVO. Plus doing this, you still have not paid the price of either the STI or EVO.
Subaru FTW!!!!
