Does anyone have a bad story about having a turbo timer!!!!!!!!
besides that it lets you car idle for a period of time eating your gas ....naw not me. i have mine with my alarm +remote start so i can warm up my car without going outside and starting it. when i'm in the dealer i just put it on valet mode so they don't have to deal with my turbo timer.

from what i heard, you suppose to let your engine/turbo cool down (and something about the oil in your turbo) after a period of time driving. also the harder you drive the longer the cool down is suppose to be. (correct me if im wrong)
there are some advance turbo timer that will automatically preset a cool down time depending how you drove you car, mine doesn't have that =( i just set mine to 2mins since my work is only about 3-4 miles from my home and i don't have to take the freeway.
also looks cool when you walk out of your car and everyone is thinking y is this guy leaving his car running, you can say 'yea it's my TURBO timer' ...heheh q= P

Worst thing I ever had happen with a turbo timer is this.
While living in Japan, I bought a 1994 Nissan 180sx, it had a first generation HKS turbo timer in it that was older than hell. The Turbo timer fried, and almost took out the primary ignition wire in the key cylinder. No big deal luckily. Patched the wire (replaced a length of it), replaced a primary ignition fuse, and got a newer Blitz Full Auto Turbo Timer (1st generation).
Was good to go. The new fuse cost frickin' $50.00 from Nissan, and I already had the newer Turbo timer out of my other toy that I was selling at the time.
IF you get a turbo timer, get something that is reliable...aka NOT E-bay no name product.
I would recommend the Blitz DCII timer. One of the versions has a boost meter built in (DTT I think.) Well worth the money. Someone else might be able to recommend something as reliable, but cheaper priced.

A friend of mine got his car back from the body shop, and someone messed with the TT. He drove home, parked his car, and went with his wife to the store. It was still on when he came back, and the whole house was filled with exhaust gasses.
