I have had only 1 problem with my car and it was a free fix. I think Subaru ranked as the second most reliable car company by Consumer Reports, Right behind Toyota I think. I am not a fan of CS articles, but you can't argue with facts(reliability).

tapper is just mad cause he got the wrong off-set wheels and his car fell apart

Wow really? That is great, Toyota quality is awesome so Subaru coming in second is really good. Hopefully I can get a WRX here are my other choices, ill see what the responses are:

1) Toyota Tacoma S-Runner (pretty rare truck)
2) VW 1.8 T
3) Toyota Celica GT-s

Any opinions on these, the S-runner is cool nobody has one.

VW's have problems. Mostly electrical. A friend of mine had a newer GTI and had 3 recalls on it within 2 years. The Celica is pretty nice, but you don't get the AWD. And I'm not really a truck person, but sometimes I wished I had one for moving and all.

I allways hear people talking about Mustangs vrs imports. I never hear any one talking about there Camero vrs imports. The Camero's are faster but for some reason the people who own them don't seem to hate on imports as much. Maybe they only care about beating Mustang's?. I'm not koncking Mustangs though.

whoever stated that Subaru's are no better than Ford when it comes to having problems.

as fas as Subaru's being any better..I am picking one up this week and owned a 5.0 in the past, I cannot tell you from personal experience about the wrx, but I know that Fords can tend to be junks at times. Although I will always LOVE mustangs the overall quality in Fords is definately lacking.

As far as Subaru quality, two of my good friends have 2.5 rs' that they race on a regular basis and they have never been in for service for a problem. one is 99 the other a 00. And the new WRX made C&D ten best, Automobile Mags' 2002 car of the year and Consumer Reports best value.... Now ya can't argue with all that.....can ya?
